Hobby Ceramicraft holds massive stocks of them in all shapes and
sizes.
Whilst not our favourite bisque item to paint on, (we think a flat plain
plate or vase offers a much better surface to be creative on, and ends
up with a far higher perceived value!), nevertheless we sell them by the
tens of thousands. Getting the best from your ceramic bisque cups and mugs.
ALL earthenware items tend to chip easily if used in dishwashers
and microwaves. If a supplier tells you otherwise it is frankly dishonest.
It is wise to point this out to your customers, hand wash with
some care is our advice. Nevertheless people will stubbornly use and abuse
cups and mugs whatever you say, so it is wise to buy the strongest bisque
in the first place so that it has the best chance of surviving for longer.
Our Hobbitalia bisque range is made from the best Italian clay formulations
which are stronger and less porous than the American style clays often
used.
This does not prevent chipping occurring with abuse, but it does
greatly reduce it , and this means you have happier customers!
In our long experience using the stronger hobby Colorobbia 0004 dipping
glaze has proved a major advantage, together with a proper firing at medium
speed with a 15 -20 minute hold at top temperature. (Dead easy with
our Paragon built kilns!)
So is this better ceramic bisque going to cost you more?
You might well expect it to, but Hobby Ceramicraft ship in such large
quantities direct from our carefully chosen family businesses in Italy, and
pack in our warehouse so our prices are just about as good as it gets!
We feel it not ethical or fair to our cafe customers to publish on a
website where the public can see just how low these are, (they do
not appreciate all your overheads which are built into your retail price).
Compare us to other suppliers and our mug prices will astound you!
You can also sleep more soundly in the knowledge that your purchase has
not been shipped thousands of miles from America or China, just a little
less damage to the environment of the planet.
