hobby Colorobbia underglaze for use on bisque, then clear glazed on top; highly concentrated for the contemporary or traditional studio

Truly stunning, clean vibrant colours, these underglazes are different to others you may have used.

Colour charts on this page give a fair idea of the colours, (depending on how your computer is set up).

Hobby ceramic colours which you may have used from other companies are virtually always creamy and ready to use direct from the pot. Colorobbias Bisquestrokes are different!
Because they come directly from the Italian pottery industry, they were designed for use by craftmen decorating in the stunningly brilliant Italian styles and are concentrated, and may be used for many different techniques.
It is very easy to adjust the consistency with water to suit the method you are using, (and has the added benefit that often a pot of colour will go a very long, long way!)
Italian majolica shows these colours at their most vibrant and versatile best, applying slightly diluted colour in brushstroke designs over 3 coats of unfired 0147 Arctic White glaze, then firing to cone 05.
May also be used directly onto bisque as translucent brushwork designs, airbrushing, antiqueing, or other applications, then glazing and firing. We do not recommend use on greenware, for which you should choose the versatile Engobes.
