Moulds

For well over a decade Hobby Ceramicraft held vast stocks of moulds available for immediate despatch or collection, from a number of leading U.S. manufacturers for whom we are the authorised distributors; times have changed though and the demand for large numbers of moulds has shrunk to a small trickle.
We think this is sad, there is a tremendous satisfaction in being able to complete the whole process from liquid slip to the decorated glazed finished item. The skills and techniques used to create, alter, adapt and enhance the "greenware" pieces are vast; highly creative; and easy to learn.
We have those skills, and do most strongly encourage you if you have a spark of creativity within you, to try acquiring even just  a small basic knowledge of pouring. Once you have greenware to play with, a great new world of truly creative techniques opens up for you, just try a taster day or two on one of our courses to see for yourself!

Meantime,

Mayco in the U.S.A. is the one major company still committed to manufacturing a range of ceramic moulds, and as their distributor we would recommend you see the limited number of their moulds we currently have in stock, and then visit the Maycocolors website and choose any you would like us to import for you on our next shipment. When demand grows again, as it surely will, our in house mould stock will regrow also.
Naturally we carry the very best quality slip in stock, be it a single bucket or a metric tonne you require; plus all the other equipment you may need , from Lucy Tool to pouring machines.

British Made Moulds.

In 2005 Hobby Ceramicraft Ltd. decided to arrange for the sale of all our range of the famous Holland Mould tools back to The States to be manufactured there. These prestigeous moulds are in greatest demand on that side of the ocean, and shipping the majority of our production such a long distance just no longer makes sense. A quick search for "Holland Molds" will lead you to the manufacturers website.
Hobby Ceramicraft are happy to take orders and ship Holland moulds back to Europe should you require them, carriage costs on small orders are quite high though!
