Following on from the enormous success of the Ceramic Cafe´ businesses which are sweeping the country, we now offer a simple yet profitable opportunity for the person wishing to start a smaller home based business on a full-time, part-time or hobby basis. The basic idea is exactly the same, but the fun takes place in the customers home, or other party venue, rather than in your own shop.
You take ready made white unglazed pottery, plates, vases, lamps, mugs, etc, which people paint with safe water based colours. You then glaze, and fire them in your kiln, and deliver the finished, real ceramic masterpieces, to the party host within a couple of days. Simple; Easy; Safe; Profitable!
Childrens parties are a large and popular part of your business, usually taking about 2 hours in their home.
Adult parties range from the hen party for the girl about to be married, (who ends up with a dinner service, each plate painted by a friend), to corporate entertaining events in a hotel or an office, where staff, or guests enjoy the fun of creating and painting all sorts of items.
If you wish to further develop your skills, the process can lead on to creating truly artistic and creative pieces, from your own uniquely painted ceramic vases, flat ware, bowls etc., through to small (or even gigantic!) tile murals. You, and your customers, make the choices, from a simple personalised egg cup; to a 40 foot commerative mural in a school for example!
In each case you will glaze and fire the pieces in your modern computerised kiln, and the finished items will be unique and permanent.
