Instructions
Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque. Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.
Load the AC-223 Large Writer Tip with SW-126 Polished Pebbles.
Use the writer tip to make fat lines approx. 1/8 inch apart on the banded edge of each piece.
Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SC-86 Old Lace over the top of the plates adding some water to the brush to glaze smoothly. Brush over the banded edge.
Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 1 coat of SW-126 Polished Pebbles over the SC-86 Old Lace, use a banding wheel and brush a thicker spiral coat to the center, thinning out towards the edge.
Using a CB-604 #4 Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SW-126 Polished Pebbles to the backs of the plates or they can be brushed the same as the tops.
With a damp sponge, wipe off any excess glaze off the foot of the plates, bowls and mug. Allow to dry.
Place on a high-fired kiln washed kiln shelf.
Do Not Stilt and make sure the plates and bowls are not hanging over the kiln shelf.
Fire to shelf cone 5/6.
