Instructions

Begin with properly fired shelf cone 04 bisque.  Moisten a clean sponge and wipe bisque to remove any dust.

Using a CB-604 #4Soft Fan, apply 2 coats of SW-350 Cobalt Wash to the tops of all surfaces and the outside of the mug; if possible use a banding wheel so brush strokes are even and in a circular direction.

Using a CB-604 #4Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SW-121 Smoke, for the third coat, brush heavier towards the center, pushing the glaze in a spiral, going thinner to the edge. Use a banding wheel to get the same look. Brush the mug in a similar, circular direction.

Using a CB-604 #4Soft Fan, apply 3 coats of SW-127 Olivine to the backs of the plates and bowls.

With a damp sponge, wipe off any excess glaze off the foot of plates, bowl and mug.

Place on a high-fired kiln washed kiln shelf.

Do Not Stilt and make sure the plates, bowl and cup handle are not hanging over the kiln shelf.

Fire to shelf cone 5/6.
